Solutions for the entire process of manufacturing rubber for tires-SIEMENS

Products, systems and services

Your branch is characterized by increase in productivity and constant product innovations. With our flexible, scalable automation, drive and power supply solutions, we have answers that are especially well suited for tire manufacturers, machine builders and OEMs for every step of the process, from mixing and semi-finishing, tire manufacturing and vulcanization to quality control.
Our team of experts acts as the general contractor, plans and implements complete turn-key projects for tire production logistics as your complete logistics solution partner. We create and optimize plant layouts, material flows, processing and production sequences. To do this, we rely on planning tools for the digital factory and virtual 3D simulations. Our portfolio encompasses solutions for automation, IT infrastructure, communication and material management. For controlling the logistics chain, including storage, maintenance and the global spare parts supply, there are tracking systems, for example, which rely on the latest technology such as RFID. For mixer and heater automation, you can choose from the broad, modular SIMATIC portfolio: cost-effective PLCs, easy-to-use panels, smaller SCADA control and visualization solutions, e.g. SIMATIC WIN CC for vulcanization or the comprehensive SIMATIC PCS 7 automation system with recipe management, MES interfacing and Safety Integrated.
In addition, rugged, energy-saving drives, Flender gearboxes and couplings guarantee the reliability and availability of your systems for mixing and tire manufacturing. The flexible SIMOTION Motion Control System is of particular use for tire manufacturing, and special drives such as torque motors are used for the tire manufacturing machines. One side effect of the low and medium-voltage energy distribution and compact drive concepts from Siemens is cost savings, due to the standardization in the procurement and supply of replacement parts and due to the reduction of space needed for the electrical infrastructure and, last but not least, due to the optimization of energy efficiency and energy management.
Our services, integrated solutions for automation and drive technology for chemical processes and classical production lines ensure optimal process efficiency in tire manufacturing and the top quality of your products. With Totally Integrated Automation and Totally Integrated Power, you will benefit throughout the worldwide value chain and over the entire life-cycle of your plants.
